He obtained his PhD in History from the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, with a dissertation focusing on agricultural tools in medieval Moldova, under the supervision of Prof. Victor Spinei. His research focuses on medieval archaeology and history, with particular emphasis on agrarian economy, rural organisation, and the dynamics of agricultural landscapes in the Eastern Carpathian region. Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous national and international research projects, both as project coordinator and team member, contributing to the development of interdisciplinary approaches to the study of medieval societies.
