Archaeological Heritage between Carpathians and Caucasus

The Institute of Archaeology in Iași, in collaboration with the Eurasia Department of the German Archaeological Institute (Deutsches Archäologisches Institut), is organising the international conference Archaeological Heritage between Carpathians and Caucasus. The event brings together more than 40 researchers from Romania and abroad, offering a broad perspective on the archaeological heritage of the region extending from the Carpathians to the Caucasus.

The programme includes contributions addressing a wide range of periods and research topics, from the Paleolithic, Bronze Age, and Iron Age to the Roman world and the Migration Period, highlighting cultural connections, mobility, exchange, and the transformations of communities across this vast region of Europe and Eurasia.
